274 S Main St
Waynesville
NC 28786
Yoga is a wonderful way to increase your child’s awareness of their place in the world- and this program let’s them explore yoga from the comfort of your own home.
Each week we will focus on a theme to cultivate feelings of calm within ourselves and our life, and every day you will receive an email with an activity or idea on how to engage your child in a yoga or mindfulness practice. All of which are yours to keep to use as a resource any time and any place!
The program includes:
- yoga videos
- breathing practices
- yoga & mindfulness games
- art projects
- parent and child partner yoga
- audio meditation/relaxation practices
- a Facebook group for daily comments, questions and concerns about the yoga you are practicing with your child
- 2 Zoom support group meetings
Through yoga, your child will develop strength, flexibility, self-confidence, balance, coordination, focus and discover the ability to feel calm. When practicing yoga, mindfulness and mediation, emotions and feelings may arise. Ms. Brandon will be available to you as a facilitator to navigate these experiences. We will begin the 30 day program with a Meet and Greet Zoom call, and end the program with a Community Closing Zoom call.
*This program is suitable for elementary ages and activities are meant to be practiced with a guardian.
