Fall Foliage Urban Hike: Waynesville Greenway
Join me Saturday October 2nd from 3:30-5:00 for this moderate 4 mile hike and 15 minute yoga practice!
Urban Hiking is a walk or hike in the city or town that is done with a sense of adventure, an openness to see things from a different perspective. It embraces the environment of our local towns’ walking parks, town pathways, or local greenway trails.
For this event, we will take time in nature to breathe deep, relax, and immerse ourselves in the beauty of a small town greenways here in WNC. We’ll take this urban hike along an easy path that meanders along the Richland Creek and through the recreation park, with a bit of guided “Forest Bathing” along the way. We will end the walk with a 15 minute yoga practice including breath-work meditation and a mindful yoga flow that is open to all levels of yoga practice.
We’ll wrap up with an optional stop at the local brewery Frog Level Brewing Company. Lots of outdoor seating on a local creekside with food and brews.
Bring your own mat, water bottle, wear comfortable shoes. Please arrive 5 minutes early. Directions for meeting place will be emailed the day before event.
As someone who fully believes in the benefits of yoga, I love providing guidance to others who want to build and maintain a regular practice, at home and in a yoga studio. I firmly believe yoga is a practice that can help everyone improve their quality of life.
