The Psoas & SI Joint, and How They Affect Yoga (Immersion Workshop)
The Psoas & SI Joint, and How They Affect Yoga
The psoas, sometimes referred to as the seat of the soul, is a critical and sometimes overlooked muscle in yoga asana. This immersion will focus heavily on the function of the psoas & SI joint in the body and how they are fundamental in yoga practice.
Students will learn how to identify proper movement techniques to support and strengthen these deep anatomical structures, as well as learn how to teach asana in relation to them.
The content in this workshop will be comprised of lecture/discussion/guided practice/peer teaching.
