Yoga for Hormone Health
Hormones rule the world, and our bodies! Let this immersive workshop, Yoga for Hormone Health, empower you with knowledge, tools, and practices to harness these amazing chemicals.
Hormones are “a regulatory substance produced in an organism and transported in tissue fluids such as blood or sap to stimulate specific cells or tissues into action.” (Definition from Oxford Languages)
“Hormones are required for the correct development of both animals and plants as they regulate physiology and/or behavior.” (Wikipedia)
Endocrine glands produce hormones and the major glands are; pituitary, pineal, thymus, thyroid, adrenal glands, testes for men and ovaries for women. These hormones affect; growth and development, metabolism and absorption of nutrients for energy, sexual function, reproduction and mood.
As you can see, hormones are powerful and the slightest changes in our hormones can have an enormous impact on our health, happiness, and overall well-being. We will explore how certain yoga poses can support hormone health and how the nervous system can affect our hormones, which can also be supported by meditation and yoga for hormone health.
