Hike description:  Approximately 5 and a half miles along the Mountains to Sea Trail through a mix of hardwood forests and laurel thickets. There are no sweeping vistas on this hike but it is delightful nontheless.  It is an out and back hike, with an initial descent of around 700 feet meaning that at the very end, we will be climbing back up to the ridgeline.  The trail is very well graded though, and over-all fairly easy.  We will cross several small streams and conclude at our destination in an open laurel thicket where we will do a gentle 45 minute class, have some lunch and return back the way we came.

Location: Due to the increased risk of infection with car pooling, we will NOT be meeting at the studio and driving together from there.  The official event will begin at 9 AM at the Pisgah Inn behind the building with the restaurant by the adirondack chairs.

Time:  varies with number of participants and rest breaks.  Plan on being gone most of the day (9am – 3pm)

 Face mask; it will not be required where effective social distancing is in place but may be needed at times

Plenty of water–I’d suggest at least a couple of water bottles.
