Time – Money – Nerves
We’ve heard from a lot of folks in the past few months who want to commit to our 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program, but have specific concerns. As we hear from more people about what matters to them, a few themes emerge as obstacles.
Obstacles to Yoga Teacher Training
Time
Yes, it’s a big commitment! But isn’t anything else in life that really matters!? Especially a journey of self-discovery and exploration that will offers tools + resources for the rest of your life? We understand everyone is crazy busy these days (we are too!).
But we’ve also experienced first-hand how much this training can transform people and change lives – no exaggeration!
Many students have to miss one weekend; that’s just the nature of the beast in our busy modern lives. That’s why we offer the makeup weekend at the end of the program, which can also be used to review the material in preparation to graduate.
If you want to take this journey now but already have commitments for one of the scheduled weekends, don’t let that stop you!
To help support students, we open the studio up early on Fridays, to provide space for a reading & study group. Your fellow students can be an invaluable source of motivation; please feel free to connect weekly to help stay on track – or maybe enlist a buddy who’s not in the program to provide accountability for the material.
However you motivate yourself, trust us: you are worth the investment of time & energy! đ
Money
We get it: it’s all about the Benjamins. That’s true for all of us. However, don’t forget that the sooner you commit to our program, the less you pay! If you’ve been sitting on the fence, you could literally be costing yourself. Click here for pricing details – and see how to get a lower rate.
Keep in mind that our program is more affordable than any other we’ve seen in the Southeast – and that our reading list is less than other schools too. Additionally, we’ve partnered with Wall Street Books to create a book buy back program to help you save money.
Nerves
One of the most beautiful things that yoga offers each of us is the opportunity to face our fears and challenge our egos. “Am I strong enough? Am I smart enough? But I have that shoulder injury… I’ve only been practicing for a few years. What if they find out who I really am?”
You are strong enough. You are smart enough. Your Yoga is ready to receive your injuries, your past traumas, and all of the parts of yourself that you don’t like or are afraid to show the world. Your Yoga can support healing for every aspect of your life and every level of your being.
Our program doesn’t promise to fix your old injuries, or heal your deepest wounds. But it does provide the framework for you to heal and take care of yourself. It will give you the tools to prevent injury going forward – and address injuries when they can’t be avoided. It will offer you the chance to realize that you’re more than enough and perfect exactly the way you are.
