Tools for a New World
There’s no denying that 2020 has been a hot, transformative period – and the future shows no sign of letting up on the intensity! Thankfully, Yoga practices help us stay grounded, curious, calm, peaceful, and even hopeful in times of suffering. It can help us sit in the difficult stuff – and give us tools to navigate an uncertain future.
One of these tools is the science of the chakras: centers of electricity in the body that correspond to organs, endocrine glands, and nerve plexuses. They teach us more about ourselves and the world around us, including how to better be in relation to others. For example, if you struggle with speaking up and advocating for yourself, you most likely have deficiency in the throat chakra, solar plexus chakra, or both.
There are breathing practices, yoga postures, meditation protocols, journal exercises, and many more applications you can implement to healing a chakra deficiency or excess. Just learning more about the chakra system and fostering better balance among these various circuit centers of electricity can cultivate more balance, wholeness, and happiness. And who couldn’t use more of that right now!?
Intro to Chakras
If you’ve never explored the chakras before, join us for a 4 week introductory series:

Sundays, 8:30 – 10 AM > $75 for the full series
Chakra Deep Dive
If you’ve already taken our introductory series and/or have studied the chakras previously, join our next chakra deep dive.
Typically, the chakra system is taught from the bottom up: we establish the first (root) chakra and move up the chain to the seventh (crown) chakra. While that’s a perfectly wonderful way to explore this powerful science, I find more resonance in moving from the top down. The issues covered by the lower three chakras are so immense that most of us have more ease and space in the upper chakras.
I’ve not seen this in any other chakra literature, but in our deep dive series, we start with the chakras that we’re most comfortable, building energy and confidence… so that – by the time we reach them – we’re more clear & better prepared to face the complex issues housed in the lower chakras.
Join us for this powerful, year-long journey of self discovery and knowledge:
// January 31: chakra 7 (crown / surrender, connection to the unseen worlds)
// March 21: chakra 6 (brow / thought, sight, second sight)
// May 2: chakra 5 (throat / self-expression & communication)
// June 20: chakra 4 (heart / community & harmonious connection to others)
// Aug 1: chakra 3 (gut / willpower, energy, self-esteem, boundaries)
// Sept 19: chakra 2 (sacrum / creativity, emotions, sexuality, change, partnership with another)
// Oct 31st: chakra 1 (root / stability, survival, job, money, the body, the planet, ancestors)
Sundays, 8:30 – 10 AM > $20 drop-in or $128 for the full series
