What’s Good for Beginners?
Since opening our doors 3 weeks ago, we’ve been asked many times “What’s good for beginners? I’m new to yoga (or haven’t practiced in a while) and need a place to start…”
To answer this need, we’ve added Yoga Basics and Beginners Flow to the class schedule. Check out our offerings for those new to yoga – or those who haven’t practiced in a while / haven’t practiced since an injury, etc:
Yoga Basics
This class is held in the Library, with a max of 5 students per class. This small class format allows the instructor to keep a closer eye on the students, address any limitations or challenges (ie: how can I do downdog with wrist pain?) and make sure students’ form is safe.
The small class format should also help students feel more comfortable to ask questions and address their specific needs as they get (re)acquainted with Yoga. Students can drop in any time, but the class will follow a 4-week syllabus: Standing Poses, Balance Poses, Seated Poses and Basic Vinyasa Flow.
After attending all four sessions, students should feel comfortable graduating on to other classes on the schedule, specific to their ability.
